First Home Owners Beware
Wednesday 01st December 2010
If you are a First Home Owner, your eligibility for the First Home Owners Grant (FHOG) or First Home Owners Rate of Stamp Duty (FHOR) could be affected by your spouse.

Even if your spouse is not purchasing with you, if they have owned property before, it may deem you to be ineligible.

There are varying circumstances and rules’ regarding this matter and it is advised to do your research and make the relevant enquiries before making an offer on a property, if you are relying on receiving the FHOG or FHOR.

Further information can be found at Office of State Revenue.
